T.MuthuRaj is an Indian film Production Designer since 1991. He entered the film industry after completing his B.Sc degree in Fine Arts as first assistant to Sabu Cyril after which he has served as Production Designer in critically acclaimed and celebrated films in major Indian languages. His big break came with the Malayalam blockbuster Guru(1997) starring Mohanlal and Suresh Gopi directed by Rajiv Anchal for which he received the Kerala State Award as best Art Director and has since worked in such path-breaking hits like Arputha Theevu, Angadi theru, Pazhasi Raja, Irumbukottai Murattu Singham, Avan Ivan, etc., So far he has contributed to the success of 43 feature films and 185 commercials. He has won many Film Awards for Best Art Direction and for his creative works. His latest works in the monster hit Nanban(2012) & “I” by ace director Shankar, Theri, Mersal, and Velaikaran have garnered huge appreciation from all quarters. Upcoming movies are Jawan, Indian 2, and Ayalaan.

T. Muthuraj was born on 29.07.1969. His father’s name is N.Thangavel and his mother is T.Muthulakshmi. He has two younger sisters Chandrakala and Pachainayagi and an elder brother Sakthivel. He is happily married to Padmapriya and has a son Muthu Vignesh.
